SPEAKER_04

Hi, and welcome to this bonus episode of Assassin's Sips. Today we are talking about Married at First Sight, season 17, episode decision day, round one. And I like that they do round one because this is like a fucking fight. I'm Lisa and True Doi. So I'm sipping on one of those mango strawberry refreshers. Nice. And it has tequila in it to make it nicer.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, even nice. I like it. I like it. I like it.

SPEAKER_04

Yesterday after I left, I made myself a nice big one. And they're like, ooh, look at you. And I was like, yeah, she's gonna go home and get some tequila. She's gonna hang out with her friend tequila at home. So yeah. Yummy, yummy. But I have to make it special because it's otherwise too sweet for me.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

But yeah. And I'm sorry, and who am I speaking to?

SPEAKER_01

I'm your less inebriated co-host, Agnes. And I'm just sipping on water for right now. Sorry.

SPEAKER_04

Don't for right now.

SPEAKER_01

For right now, you know. Things may change. I gotta hydrate before we get inebriated.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. Well, you'll get inebriated faster if you don't, so you know. What's the goal here? Do you even have goals?

SPEAKER_03

Come on.

SPEAKER_01

I I'm goalless. I just fly by the seat of my pants.

SPEAKER_04

Alright.

SPEAKER_01

Any hot takes overall?

SPEAKER_04

I do have hot takes.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, let's go.

SPEAKER_04

Why do the drivers rem resemble the spouses? Pastor Cal's face. He so did not save her fucking life. And Becca bubbling over was a twist that I didn't see coming, and neither was the Bremley twist at the end. Claire is a shit starter, and some conversations should have been had in private. Those are my hot takes.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so let's get to the details. This is decision day, round one, as you said earlier. Let's talk about Claire and Cameron.

SPEAKER_04

Alright, well, they they come into Decision Day, and they are so amicable, amiable.

SPEAKER_03

They get along well. I don't know what word.

SPEAKER_04

Um they get along just fine. They're both opening up and expressing how they feel they played a part in the marriage not working out. The experts are kind of like, wow, you know, they're they're kind of impressed. They're like, okay, you guys are really, really owning up and being like just so mature about everything. Basically, at the end, Cameron is like, you know, uh, she's amazing, but at this point, I just it'd be like being married to my sister, which is awkward. I mean, I know that they just met, they're strangers, but like you've known each other for two months. How do you fall into that level of relationship feel so quickly? That to me seemed awkward.

SPEAKER_01

And I think it's because there was no chemistry. It never clicked. So it's easy to fall into like that if they didn't have that to begin with.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, but actually, and then that that kind of reaffirms what I was thinking. And I feel like a lot of that was Claire's doing. He was obviously attracted to her. And I feel like she just shut him down so much that it's like, how do you meet someone and two months later you're like, no, no, no, it's like my sister, except if you've been kind of turned down by them over and over and over, that it's like negative reinforcement. You know, he kind of learned, like, okay, if I get attracted to her, I get hurt. So he stopped. And I'm like, that's so sad because maybe they just actually could have had something had she been a little bit more receptive to him.

SPEAKER_01

My comment on that was very similar to what you just said. They seem like the people where they may not have been in the right headspace for one another at that time. But if a year or two or five years later they evolved to be different people where they're at, they may work.

SPEAKER_04

Mm-hmm. I can see that.

SPEAKER_01

That's the only thing I had to say about them. Emily and Brennan. What I get from him is his way of protecting you or him, or Emily rather, is that I tell you what you need to know, and you listen to what I have to say, and you just do what I tell you to do, and that's my way of protecting you. And I really hate the fact that that one time you were a person, you think that negates everything that you didn't do for the relationship. Any good person would have did what you did. That doesn't negate all the ways you did not show up. And he keeps going back to that, like that makes him, ha no.

SPEAKER_04

I have a slightly different take. I think that him constantly, constantly, constantly be like, I was protecting you, and I was protecting you, is a lot of projection. And I think that he was protecting himself. I think that Brennan is not equipped to handle difficult conversations. And I think that for whatever reason, he just wasn't attracted to her or feeling this relationship. And instead of just being open and honest and saying, hey, I'm not, I'm not feeling this, whether it's about her or it's not about her, he couldn't tell her that because he's not equipped to then deal with that conversation. And listen, it's not a fun thing to tell someone, hey, I don't want to be with you. But you're not doing anyone a favor by lying to them. And I can only say, right, like if I was in that situation and if I was Emily, you're right. I would want you to just be straight with me. I would want you to just say, I'm not feeling this. And I would say, okay, well, then what is it about me that you're not attracted to? Is there something that we can work on? Because it could be something that's worth fixing. Maybe, maybe not. I don't know because I'm not there. I think that Brennan is so insecure about himself that all of this protection and micromanaging his persona is simply to save his own skin. He cannot be filmed in a bad way. He he doesn't want to be portrayed as anything less than great. And so maybe if he were to say, I'm not attracted to you, and that hurts her, he becomes a villain. Even though, look at you, buddy. You ignoring it and constantly behaving the way you do is worse. And I absolutely fucking love the fact that Pastor Cal is like, there's no easy way and there's no other way to say this, but bullshit. And Pia was like, thank you. I was like, yes, yes, because you are saying exactly what we were thinking. It's fucking BS. And like Judge Marilyn Million said, not even you believe what you're saying. But here we are. Brennan, no, just no. Like, just no. No. Nope. No. What the fuck? And you saved her life? You you called 911, but if you didn't do it, the camera crew would have. It wasn't like you were the only other person there. You didn't give her CPR, you didn't give her mouth to mouth, you didn't make a tourniquet, you didn't stitch her ass up, you didn't fly her to the fucking hospital. You held her hand and you dialed 911. And I gotta tell you, about half of the people in New York City have done that for a stranger. They don't go around saying, I saved your life. Oh my god, I saved your life. Oh my god, you owe me. I said, No, no, Brennan. You did what any decent fucking human who has breath in their body would have done in that situation. You got help. Yes, of course. Thank you. You didn't save her life, at least not in the way that you want to make it sound on TV like you are some kind of fucking hero. And maybe had you been a better husband through this whole thing, she wouldn't have felt the need to do that outing to connect with you. Right. So, how how about we even go back a little further? You constantly being aloof. Well, we're gonna have separate bedrooms and we're just gonna be friends. And the only way that she can connect with you is by doing activities. That's why she planned this. And I'm not saying that it's your fault, but I'm just saying that if if we're gonna take your line of thought, right? And how you're responsible for saving her life, well then maybe you're responsible for causing it. And it just sounds just as stupid as you saying you saved her life to me.

SPEAKER_03

I concur.

SPEAKER_04

Rantover. Ooh, but I feel awake now. I think I gotta take this off. I'm hot. He gets my blood boiling, but not for good reason. If he was my husband, I would have broken him by now. Like, I mean, he's he is so not my type, like attractive-wise.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

I would have had him running away. He would have ran away from me way sooner.

SPEAKER_02

Crying.

SPEAKER_04

I would have sent him home to his mommy crying. Yes, absolutely. No. Bitch, I'll see your Long Island and I'll raise you Brooklyn. And what? Go home cry. Go home cry.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, anything on Emily and Brennan? Except for like we're throwing a party now that they that they're over and done with. I think the experts were the happiest that they broke up at this point.

SPEAKER_04

They and even they were like, yeah, like there's nothing, like we we're not gonna say anything to try to keep you guys together. I will say this though. That supposedly in one of the conversations, there were threats going back and forth where one of them was trying to ruin the other one. And I'm like, and Emily was like, when did that happen? Because everything was recorded. I would love, love for there to be like, and I know that this is was filmed a few years ago, but I would love for everything, every reality show or whatever where they have these people should have a mandatory reunion show and outtake show and be like, and the receipt back, okay? Right. And so that they're like, when they start going back and be like, pull up the receipts. Everything is fucking recorded. Pull up the receipts. Let's see who was right. If it's Emily, okay. If it's Brennan, plot twist. I want but I would like to see that. Why don't you show us that? And I know that this show is not supposed to be that like salacious and all that, but it is, it is, and and you edit it in such a way that it is. But at the same time, when they're literally making accusations about one another, and you know, it's this is Ross Rachel in the video. Get the video, show us the video. Who told the story about backpacking across Europe? We have to know the answer. That's yeah, that's all I have for them for now.

SPEAKER_01

Our last couple for the decision day is Becca and Austin.

SPEAKER_04

I'm not, I wasn't surprised that they decided to stay together. But it felt a little wishy-washy.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Like it didn't feel enthusiastic. It felt like, all right, I guess we'll try. Yeah, you know what I mean? It was like when I want to when somebody hands me something at dinner that I don't want to taste, and I'm like, all right, I I guess I will.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

It just didn't feel wanted almost. It was like they both wanted a relationship and wanted to be happy, but felt kind of like they were settling for each other to fit those roles. And I say that because that's how I felt even before I saw the rest of the episode. Yeah. And the experts are like, well, you know, like you guys have always seemed to have a connection and and we're like so glad. And I think that they had a lot of potential. But I think that where in a way where they failed, and I and I hate to use that word, right? But like where they struggled, that's a better word.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Is that Becca is a little bit more high need. And I'm I'm guessing, right? And I don't know. But it it just feels to me like she has encountered a lot of hurt in her life where people have let her down, or people have made her feel like she wasn't good enough. And it just seems like she carries a lot of that. So she needs reassurance. And it's not a bad thing, it's just who she is. And Austin, whether he couldn't or just wouldn't, was not up to that task. And she also had physical needs that he wasn't meeting. And it just felt like he wasn't trying. Like it just after a while, it just felt like his words were telling her what she wanted to hear when he had to.

SPEAKER_01

Whatever he was saying, it felt flat. Like no one believed it.

SPEAKER_04

Well, like it's it always sounded genuine, but then his actions didn't match. His actions were selfish, like, oh, I want to work on intimacy, and she would just eat it all up. But then what does his actions say? Well, his mouth is like, hey, baby, I want you. And his actions were, I'm gonna get drunk and sleep in a different room. So which do you believe? How many times can you believe the words when the actions are always counterproductive? So I understood what they said when they were like, well, maybe we should give it a try without the cameras, because they felt that that had been a hindrance. Okay. Absolutely. Could could you imagine having to explore a new relationship with somebody that you didn't even choose? Literally, tomorrow they're gonna move some random person into your apartment, and now you have to cohabitate. You are trying to get love and affection and orgasms out of this person, and you know nothing about them except maybe their first name. Like, and it's all being filmed. You've got random people in your house too, not just cameras installed, but like people following you around. I mean, I I can imagine it's like so awkward.

SPEAKER_03

But if they're willing, I'm willing. Right?

SPEAKER_01

Like Austin also has another similar habit that Brennan has where they feel if they're not being specifically saying something negative, they feel like they're the good guys. You don't have to Yeah. That doesn't make you uh the good guy just just because you didn't call your wife a bitch or something. Doesn't necessarily mean you're a good guy either. It gives off like I'm the nice guy vibe. Mm-hmm. Right. I feel like there are a bunch of men children here.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Because with age comes emotional maturity.

SPEAKER_04

And I married somebody younger.

SPEAKER_01

What a year.

SPEAKER_04

He's not much younger, but he's younger.

SPEAKER_01

Then girls are forced to mature sooner than they should have to, because oh, you have to give boys a chance, and you have to understand boys would be boys and all that other bullshit from elementary school and on. We are forced to mature sooner. Never mind.

SPEAKER_04

And there's a lot more to that, too, but yes, you're right.

SPEAKER_01

A lot more than puberty and hormones, like we are physically mature, as a we have to emotionally mature back to the thing.

SPEAKER_04

And how we're told to behave and what things that we are trying to push into. So, like, we are already you know, doing shit around the house and watching over younger siblings and doing all of these things that basically prepare people to be adults, and boys, it's like open the door and and take off the leash.

SPEAKER_03

Pretty much.

SPEAKER_04

They they there's no home training. Like that's it. You you you took off the leash and opened the door, and and now we're like catching them trying to be like, okay, you go pee pee on the potty, like you know.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, not me, but them. Yes. That was it.

SPEAKER_04

So I had Oh these boys, these boys. This is why we need more women in charge. We're always the one who have to do the fucking dirty work. They just they just don't want to give us the credit for it. At home, who who cooks and who cleans? Right? At work, who cooks and who cleans? Oh, but then they get titles. That woman can cook and clean and wipe your ass from the day you are born till the day you die, but she can't be a chef at a restaurant. I mean she can't be, but you know what I mean. Like, it's just such bullshit. Anyway, I don't think I have anything else on them for this. That was the decision day, and then the next day they are all gathering, and by all, I mean all of them, plus Lauren, Orion, Chloe, and Michael. And it looks like a picturesque kind of outing. They're all sitting around like the fire, they're outside. I think they were sitting at a fire pit. Yeah. And then all hell breaks loose because Claire and Emily went out the night after decision day and happened to see Austin and Brennan also out and with a producer. And now my question is number one, is there only one bar in Denver? Because could you imagine being in Manhattan and you just happen to run into unless there's a bar like part that's downstairs of the apartment building.

SPEAKER_01

I can see that happening.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, all right. Except even still, kind of not so much because Brennan and Cameron were both moved out. So why would they why would they go there? Good point. Yeah. I smell sad uh right. It just doesn't make sense to me. It it's possible. I mean, you can, you know, and and I view things right from the eyes of a person who was brought up in New York City. There's so many places, so many people, and yes, it happens. You run into people like randomly, but this feels a little bit too much like a setup. Whether it's on the part of the producer or the part of the girls or the guys, the math doesn't math for me. Claire tells Becca that they saw Brennan out, and she's not happy. And I have separate thoughts on that because just because he was out with wait, no, it was Austin and sorry, did I say Cameron? It was Brennan. Wasn't Austin and Brennan who went out? I don't know. It was two of the guys who went out, and then there was a producer. But like, just because he was out with them doesn't necessarily mean that that's a bad thing. It could have been completely platonic. It's just somebody of the opposite sex. Like, I have friends of the opposite sex that I can call and go out with and and right? And likewise, I have friends of the same sex who like the same sex and I still can go out with them and it's platonic. I get why she's frustrated because of the issues that she's had, and he's like, okay, but I want to work on things like off-camera, blah, blah, blah. And then you go out with a producer, it does feel a little like, why didn't they go out? Like I would have been more upset that I wasn't invited. Or that you didn't want to.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I concur. I think it was a lot of the little things and just took tohead. And then back to what you said with what he says and what his actions are.

SPEAKER_04

Mm-hmm. But the outing was not the place to bring that up. Except that it makes good TV. So which is kind of what it leads me back into the whole setup thing because Becca is like, so did you go out last night? And who did you go out with? And was there a producer there? And Austin is just kind of like, what? What the fuck? What? I mean, Austin didn't realize that he was in a jungle with landmines. He was just sitting there kind of minding his business. And then all of a sudden she's like, uh-huh, and who are you with? And and and he's like, I don't know, yeah, what? I don't now that didn't help him because he's trying to play stupid. But I feel like the best case, the best hope you would have had at that moment is to say, yes. However, I'd prefer not to talk about this right here. But if you want to step aside, we can talk about anything you want to talk about. I will answer any question you have. Like, I'm not hiding anything. I just like I don't want to see you upset. I don't I don't know, like anything except for what? Maybe, yeah. I don't I don't know. I don't know. We needed a Twix moment. And Becca fucking needed a Snickers, okay? Because she was hangry. She needed a Snickers and he needed Twix. I'm just like. By the way, Mars, we are available for promotion. Oh man, I love I love Twix. You love and you love Snickers. I love candy. I like chocolate. I like, I like, I'll be honest. Snickers doesn't do it for me though. I love Snickers. I love Kit Kats. I love Twix.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm. Butchamacaulits. What? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm so glad when they came back. Remember they would they discontinued them for a minute? I love a Butcher Macaulay.

SPEAKER_04

And you know what I really love? A payday. Like a chocolate payday. Paydays. Oh. Milky Way.

SPEAKER_01

Ooh, and a Milky Way. A regular size candy bar now costs like $1.50, $1.60.

SPEAKER_04

I know.

SPEAKER_01

I was like, I remember when they're at 50 cents.

SPEAKER_04

50 cents, I know.

SPEAKER_01

Anyhow.

SPEAKER_04

Now I'm on a fucking Milky Way. Mmm. Okay. As you're dying. But I look kind of good dying. Yeah, you do. You look very um, you know, lady on the on the chaise lounge. You know, like she's just no more fucks to give. Oh. Somebody named her. But thank you for the compliment, Lisa. Aww. You're welcome. Like she's dying, but she looks pretty damn good. But yeah, no, I don't look that good when I'm dying. So I don't look that good when I'm alive. Back at Denver, all hell is breaking loose. So now Becca and Austin are going at it. And then of course everyone else chimes in. Claire says something like, I don't know, she she says something, and Cameron steps up. And Cameron is like, this is kind of my fault because I oh, about the double date. That's what it was. When they started going off about, Emily started going off about Claire said about Brennan and the double date. And Cameron's like, wait, like that was me. But also it was just meant as like after this is all over, which I'm not mad at.

SPEAKER_01

Like, no, because by that point, they're already not gonna stay together. So yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Exactly. And so if Brennan told that to Cameron, it's it's almost the equivalent of me telling you, well, like, you know, when my husband leaves me, this is what my plan is gonna be. But you know what I mean? Like, I don't just it's such a non-point. It's like a really bad game of telephone. Because when she said it to Emily, I was like, oh, that's so fucked up, and why didn't she tell her sooner? But now getting a little bit more context, it's like, well, why the fuck did you tell her anyway? Or was it Cameron who didn't say, well, Brennan, Brennan joked about, you know, like when all this was over or whatever? Like, I don't know. Obviously, we weren't there. We don't know exactly what the messages said, but it just kind of comes back to Claire. And it's like now for the second time, Claire is the one, you know, oh, Becca, we saw Austin. Why? Why are you starting shit? It just, it just feels less like you looking out for someone and more like you're unhappy and you're taking them with you. And I don't know if that's what it is, and I don't know them, and maybe she really just meant good. It just I don't know, maybe it's editing. Just doesn't look that way to me.

SPEAKER_01

Or it might be it it could be just the road to hell is paid with good intentions. Could be. Could be. Not everything needs to be voiced, not everything needs to be said, not everything needs to be picked at. She doesn't know when to let something lie or even get further information. It's just like, oh, I heard Right. Sometimes just shutting up does more good.

SPEAKER_04

Right. Like if I told you, you know, okay, well, you know, one one day down the line when he finally gets sick of my shit, I don't know, I'm gonna date Jason Momoa, right? And then you go and you tell him and you say, Oh, your wife said she's trying to date Jason Momoa. But he skipped the whole part. Yeah. I mean, also, if Jason Momoa showed up my front front door, I'm still gonna date him. I mean, to be fair, I I think if he thought about it, he's like, Yeah, don't really blame her.

SPEAKER_01

Jason Momoa, you know, but you know what I mean, right? I think he would respect that though. You know, oh, okay, I don't blame her.

SPEAKER_04

Good choice. But you know what I mean. Like, it's just you're just totally like skipping the context, yeah, and starting shit. Anyway, they just they just have this like all out kind of screaming thing, and it is just awful. And then the worst part is that Chloe and Michael are just sitting there, kind of like like a tennis mat, like back and forth, back and forth. Like they want to be anywhere, they want to sink into those cushions, they just are like, what the fuck is wrong with these children? And like Lauren even gets involved, and I'm like, Lauren, this ain't your fight. Like, what what what are you doing? Like, you are so not in this, like at all. I don't know. I after they're like yelling at each other. Oh, these guys are way too concerned about camera, and and we've been trying to tiptoe around them, but like if the truth comes out and blah blah blah, and Cameron's like, well, actually, it's me who's had to be the one to tiptoe. And you know, Claire has been the one like gaslighting me and and blah blah blah. And he gets upset and he walks away, and you see Claire on her phone. Now, obviously, you don't see texting, right? But like they're all like, But where did Cameron go? And they're like, Oh, maybe he just needed a minute. And Cameron is like, I'm so sick and tired of made of being made to feel like the bad guy when this whole time I've been the one protecting her from the shit that she doesn't want to come out. And he's like, and if this was uh a crit a court case, he's like, I'd be in jail for like what he, I don't know, he said like parking tickets or something something like so insignificant, and she'd be tried for murder. And now I'm like, okay, but what did she do? Who did she kill, Cameron? Who did no? Right. Like, what does she do?

SPEAKER_01

I feel like the husbands are all have this very same message that they've been relaying and spouting is I'm protecting you, I'm protecting you, I'm protecting you. Like, why? From what? Who? What? Where? Why? How? What's going on? Is this a Denver thing? Like, what? Why the Unity?

SPEAKER_04

Well, if you had to say that Austin, Brennan, and Cameron were protecting their wives, I don't buy it from Austin, I don't buy it from Brennan, but I might buy it from Cameron. And he's like, I have the text messages. You know he wanted a show. He's so fucking pissed off. They kind of come back together, you know. And then all of a sudden, Emily is like telling Brennan, like, you know, um, I just want to say, like, I'm sorry for how this all kind of worked out, like, overall, and you know, thing, but whatever. Like, it was just, and I'm watching it like seriously. You said all those things at decision day yesterday. You said all this shit 10 minutes ago, and now you're just like over there holding his hand, like, okay, cool, like, no hard feelings. Who are you? I don't know. The the time for no hard feelings was maybe yesterday at decision day when you were supposedly closing the book on it. But today, after that whole screaming shit about all of this, I I don't know. It just it was aggravating. And Chloe and Michael are just kind of like, hey, so yeah, we're just you look at that scene and you see Michael and Chloe just kind of sitting there behaving like adults, and the rest of them look like a bunch of whiny kindergarten kids who didn't get their snack or their nap.

SPEAKER_01

To be fair, this time's why I go to snack and I don't have a nap, and I'm just eh.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, yeah, but you know. Well, you know, I I hope that Brendan finds a man to make him very happy. I hope that, you know, after all is said and done, because I think that that's what he needs in his life. But also after that whole thing kind of, and then Becca was like, forget it. Like, I don't, you know, forget decision day. If this is what you had in mind, like, forget it. But there was one moment where, like, and I don't know if it's editing, you know, and that and that's the tricky part. But it's like she had this weird smile on her face, and it it rubbed me the wrong way. And I'm just like, so did you just regret your decision and do this so that you could catch him off guard? Was this somehow planned? Did you, or did you just change your mind and and this was your way of getting out without any ownership? Why did you smile like that? Or or maybe, or maybe somebody smiled at her and she smiled back. I don't know. Like, I don't know, but there was just this one moment where the camera looked at her and she just had this to me, it seemed like an awkward smile because it just wasn't a moment to be smiling. And I feel like when I have a smile like that on my face, somebody should be worried. Because I just did something bad. Like, yeah. Uh, but I don't have anything else, I don't think. Except I just want to watch the next episode and I want to see what the fuck else this season has to throw at me.

SPEAKER_03

So I mean, I'm done.

SPEAKER_01

Got all my words out of me. That made no sense. But oh anyway.

SPEAKER_04

No, it made sense.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, good.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, and then um Lauren and Orion decided that they're gonna maintain their friendship.

SPEAKER_03

Oh right. And I'm like, okay. Mm-hmm. All right. I see you.

SPEAKER_04

And then one of them was like, yeah, the friendship is on the table. And I was like, is that a callback from like when they were on their honeymoon?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, and at one point, I think Lauren said that all of her and Orion's texts, they text all the time now. I'm like, is this something new? Or was the the narrative that they don't communicate not so truthful? Mental note. I just I don't have an answer.

SPEAKER_04

Well, I I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt.

SPEAKER_01

That's something new?

SPEAKER_04

That it's something new because after the retreat, right? Remember, she was like, I'm I'm open to that, but and she kind of I forgot what she said. I think that's what it was before. It was like he keeps saying this, but then he doesn't do it. And so she was like, Okay, fine, but I'm gonna lead. And I think that maybe he realized I have to. Like, if if I keep saying it and I really mean it, then if she if this is what she wants, then I have to follow through, otherwise that door will close. Okay, the the doors are gonna close, the window is gonna close, and the gate is gonna lock.

SPEAKER_03

Maybe her taking the lead has given him the push that he needs to be um reciprocal.

SPEAKER_04

So I'll I'll buy that at face value. That that they weren't and now they are. I'll buy it. Okay. I mean, what do I have to lose by buying it? You know? And I don't I don't feel like with them there's been a lot of like shady shit. I think that aside from Orion being a little wily around the reasons for the divorce, I think that he wasn't completely honest about that. But other than that, I don't I don't really see them as and and I definitely don't see Lauren as untruthful. I I think that all of her interactions with us and with him and the rest of them all feel pretty genuine to me.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

So and because even she was like, oh, he says this and then he doesn't do it, and so like here I am, like, you know, and she's upset. So I could be wrong, of course, but I I'll from them I'll buy it.

SPEAKER_03

I'll buy what she's selling. Okay. Yeah. No, that's it. I got nothing else. Okay, let's sign this puppy out.

SPEAKER_04

After we are done with this whole season, are you gonna give me an update on where are they now?

SPEAKER_01

I can.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, you gotta work on that for me.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe not.

SPEAKER_04

Well you feel better.

SPEAKER_01

You'll never know. Not today. The world would never know. I'm gonna leave you in suspense. Okay, fine.

SPEAKER_03

You find out on the last episode of the season. So in three years, got it.

SPEAKER_04

How it feels. It's like a never-ending season, I know. I mean, if they're all like, you know, like this one, I'm in. Some of them are just and so actually, when the drivers dropped them off, it was only Becca and Austin. But the drivers, like Becca's driver was a dude and he had a backwards baseball cap. And from the silhouette, if you didn't know, you'd be like, is that Austin? And Austin's driver was a female and she has short hair. And I'm like, they had to have done this on purpose. The other ones weren't like that. I was like, but them, that had to be on purpose. I'm sorry. There was no way that that was a coincidence. And this guy who's driving this luxury vehicle is driving with a backwards fucking baseball hat. Absolutely not.

SPEAKER_01

Absolutely not.

SPEAKER_04

You're yeah. I used to work for a limo company. Hell fucking no. Absolutely not. Never. And we had women drivers, but like backward baseball cap driving like a fucking escalade. Definitely not. No. Nope. So yeah. And I was trying to look at the others, but the other ones I couldn't really like get a read on. But those first two, I was like, no, that's on purpose. Like it's reminding you that, oh, subliminal messaging. I don't know. Maybe they weren't even the real drivers. Maybe they're just like, hey, sit here for a second. But yeah, okay, that was it. Now that was it. Visit usassassinsips.com. Thank you for being on the subscription feed. Don't drink and drive, drink responsibly. And until next time, I'm Lisa.

SPEAKER_00
