Hi, and welcome to this episode of Assassin's Sips. Today we're talking about Good Girls Season 4, Episode 2, Big Kahuna. I'm Lisa, and I am actually just sipping on some coffee today. Regular or oh no, it's definitely highly caffeinated.
SPEAKER_00I mean, as opposed to like spiked coffee.
SPEAKER_02No, I have to work. You have to eat too.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02So it is not spiked. Uh-huh. Okay. I have a lovely eight-hour shift ahead of me today.
SPEAKER_00Um, let's get this party started. In case you guys can't tell, we are both a little under the weather. I feel like I'm under the bus, but you know, welcome to welcome to this week's episode. I'm your co-host, Agnes, and I'm sipping on lemon ginger tea. And that's our episode. Thank you. See you next week. What's so funny? What's going on in your ceiling?
SPEAKER_02No, nothing. I was just listening to you.
unknownOh.
SPEAKER_02And I looked up. That's all.
SPEAKER_00I was just like, oh, what's going on up there? I forgot.
SPEAKER_02No, no, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_00Did the spiders come back to get you from last year?
SPEAKER_02No, I'm just no, it's been really windy here, and I'm just like I'm making sure that you know my ceiling is still intact because I feel like that's my life.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we've had like I was gonna put some bread shoes on yesterday because we had like the Windsor bananas. There's a my daughter calls me, she goes, Oh, there goes a porty pot, there goes a porta potty. That can't be good. Like, it's a hot mess. Trees are over, yeah. It's fun. Good times had by all. Yeah. Two days ago, maybe maybe three days ago, we're at 70 degrees, and now we're looking for another winter storm. So yeah. Welcome to the Midwest. Any hot takes for this episode? Oh, this episode is called what Big Kahuna.
SPEAKER_02I used to call my mom that I just feel like the only hot take is like, my god, Dean, why are you still such a fuck up?
SPEAKER_00Not too much. He's just he's just not criminally savvy.
SPEAKER_02But I mean, part of it was also Beth, but it's it's still mostly Dean.
SPEAKER_00Uh my hot take is maybe because I was watching it and I'm I don't know, maybe I just don't have much of a fuse the last couple of days. But Annie is just getting on my nerves now. Like, with all the bad decisions. I'm like, it's time for you to grow up.
SPEAKER_02She really doubles down hard. Yeah. Yeah, she she doubles down on like crazy, really hard.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. She doubles down on crazy. Yeah, she does. This episode, Big Kahuna, opens up with Rio facing some police questioning. Um, obviously, because they found Lucy's body. And Rio is Rioing, and he's just cool, calm, collected, cool as a cucumber, all chill. He's all those other phrases. Of course, he knows he's gonna be called in, so he has his alibi ready, and he leads out unscathed so far. Um, they pull him in because the bullets on Lucy's in Lucy's body matches bullets and rival gang members' bodies. So who are they gonna call? And not the Ghostbusters. They're not gonna call the Ghostbusters, no. Beth is now showing Annie and Rupe, Ruth Ruby. Oh my god. Beth is showing Annie and Ruby the earrings their hired hitman had given her. And they're like, what do we do? She goes, it's just a date. She said it's just dinner. No, wait. They says it. She goes, I don't know what they Annie says something about I know exactly what they're saying. He goes, So what are they saying?
SPEAKER_02They're like saying the earrings are like a statement, and Beth is like, yeah, but it's just dinner. And Ruby's like, yeah, if they're serving vagina. But she's like, Yeah, but we need him. They're like trying to weigh the options of what which is, I guess, the least the path of least resistant, right? Like go out hitman to pop the gang friend, and then this goes away, or like it's just it's just so ridiculous, but you know, in a TV funny way, because if it was real life, not so much.
SPEAKER_00I would I would definitely go out. I wouldn't even hesitate by going out with this with the hitman. I don't know why. I don't know. No, absolutely. I think that was an easy choice.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I I hopefully I wouldn't be in that position. I would have been a little bit. I'm hoping I would have been smarter, but anyway. Dean interrupts their he goes, oh, what's for dinner? And she goes, Oh, I was thinking about grilling.
SPEAKER_02What if it's a test? Because you know how he's like, Oh, you don't get involved, like we don't mix business with like people that you're involved because then it gets messy. I wonder if this is like some kind of weird test on his part, like to see if she'll blur the lines.
SPEAKER_00That would be the most asinine test ever. Because if you didn't want to test it, you just want to take her hard thing, period. Why bother putting her back on the maybe he gets off on games?
SPEAKER_02I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Maybe.
SPEAKER_02I'm a real person, not a written character. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I just I don't know, I guess. As a real person, that would be a waste of time. Either take the hit or don't take the hit. I don't know, but that's just me. Dean interrupts their talk. Well, he heard he has dinner. He's like, Oh, what's for dinner? She goes, Oh, I think about grilling. But he has great news, and he tells Beth that Bika Huna, which is a really huge spa brand, apparently, allegedly, wants to meet with them. And she's like, Why us? You know, but anyway, he goes, Oh, because you know, all the big money we're making and all the other stuff. She goes, nope, that was all you, babe. Like, just trying to stroke his ego and all the other good stuff.
SPEAKER_02I feel like that should already have been a red flag. Like, you just got this business going four minutes ago, and already some big spa company who has practically zero presence in that geographical area wants to do business with you. Come on, Dean. How long ago was it that the FBI were raiding your dealership? Even if it was even if you were cleared, and even if you still don't think you're doing anything wrong, I can't imagine a world where I wouldn't be suspicious. This is too good to be true. Because in my world, usually when things are too good to be true, they are. So, but again, I don't live that privileged life. I I I guess I'm more like, oh no, there's another shoe somewhere, and you know, maybe I throw something on the ceiling. I was waiting for the other shoe to drop. That's what you were looking for. That's what you um watch out for falling shoes.
SPEAKER_00Um, and of course, um the head hon show of Bicahuna. I like all these little head hon shows, Bikauna, El Hefe, of the big boss man of Bicahuna is yes, DL Dave. And he's Dave undercover. Go figure. Dave is under. And of course, he wants to review he wants to look at their books before he makes any big decisions. Is that a standard practice? Not it is a standard practice, not this soon into the deals. Like, it's not like, hey, let's do business, give me your books. It's not that soon. But looking at one another's books is standard practice, but usually you already have like with lawyers and yes, okay, because that that's what I was thinking too.
SPEAKER_02But then I was like, well, I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong.
SPEAKER_00It's not like, hey, let's go out for dinner, give me your books. No, no. Um, no. That's that's huge red flag number two.
SPEAKER_02Right. I feel like it would have been like a contingency thing.
SPEAKER_00It is usually, but yeah, it's already been spoken about. You've already worked out the ins and the outs. Yeah. Yeah. And you've gotten some look at the, you know, but yeah, this is right.
SPEAKER_02It's like when you buy a house and you're gonna sell the house, and the the the seller is not like, okay, cool, let me see your pink statements. It's like, nah, you go through your real estate agent, I'll go through mine, they'll make the magic work, and then as long as you can do XYZ, we've got a deal. I feel like it's the same premise. Okay. It is.
SPEAKER_00Beth is. I think if Beth wasn't worried about the books not being ready, I think she would have seen the red flags. Like she was more like, oh my god, wait, I don't have cooked books or you know, I don't have like books for this, you know. And I think if she had her her real books and then like the fake books already situated, I think she would have caught on. Like, this is not how this works. And of course, because men are men did the men thing, and hey, let's come on, buddy. Let's leave the little lady, let's go out for drinks, you know. Dean is easily manipulated by drinks and little pat in the back.
SPEAKER_02But that's not hard to see. Dean is that kind of guy who wants to just. I feel like Dean gets FOMO and he just wants to be like in the group.
SPEAKER_00In that case, I will never be because I don't I don't fear missing out. My only fear missing out is my bed and my cat.
SPEAKER_02I mean, don't get me wrong, right? It's nice to be included if if a group of people were going out and I wasn't invited, I'd be like, oh, why wasn't I invited? But if they're like, hey, let's go out, but hey, I want this information, I'd be like, okay, well, have fun. Let me know how that let me know how your outing was. Like I I I don't know. Like I'm not I'm my arm is not so easily twistable. If I don't want to do something, I don't do it. I mean, uh, you know, unless and until the incentive is big enough.
SPEAKER_00No, you it's but it came out exactly how you wanted to say it. Well, um, yeah. No that movie, Guess Who's Coming at Dinner? Oh, who's coming for dinner? Knock, knock, knock. It's the Hills have a surprise when Sarah's dota family pops up for unexpected events. My thoughts on them too. Yeah. Um, Colin Jenny, they decide to move to Detroit because they really have no family in Madison because they get away.
SPEAKER_02Right, and the landlord, right, and the landlord was nice enough to give them a week to clear their shit. I mean, I've only been to the Midwest a few times, like visiting you. And I feel like after I say this, we might get hate mail. But it could go either way, like there could be people like these bumpkin type people who really are just that oblivious and sweet, or they might be criminal masterminds. I'm not sure yet. The landlord's such a sweet man, he gave us a week to clear out our stuff. I mean, well, the Midwest is the birthplace of all serial killers, but uh you know, and also like if it was here in New Jersey, the car the landlord would have found like a car bomb in his garage the week later. So, you know, we do things differently in different places.
SPEAKER_00Some of the culture of the region, you know. Um, so yeah, they pop up. And um, yeah. So when Stan asks them, hey, then who, what family do you have here? And they're like, ha ha, you guys. Um they're like, great. So Stan and Ruby is definitely on high alert. They don't think they have it a pretty good feeling that they're gonna try to get shaken, get the shakedown by them again. And they said, because especially when they said home is where the heart is, you're like, uh-huh, another organ. All right, great. Uh didn't they give her the kidney? They gave her, they gave the kidney donation, right?
SPEAKER_02Okay, yeah. Um well, maybe they should have said instead of home is where the heart is, home is where the kidney is.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think they're trying to be like, that's so obvious about it. But the point was made. Stan and Ruby are definitely on high alert, especially since the drop buys, they don't think they're gonna be stopping anytime soon. So Stan invites her to dinner again, and Carl brings up the topic of money, and he goes, I think we need to set up a you know, some kind of financial arrangement. Ruby loses her shit, as she should, considering what she's been through thus far.
SPEAKER_02Well, this is hold on. This part, doesn't this part also come I'm not doing it in what I'm just saying? Okay, um, but it's important to note that due to some creative when Beth when Beth gets nervous about the guy wanting the books, she goes to um the guy, and I can't remember his name, but the lone guy. And he is like, okay, so this is what you gotta do. And he starts saying like smurfing and putting your or putting things in offshore accounts or smurf layering, and she's like yeah, you know we just need a plan real quick because he was like, Oh, you get your friends, your colleagues, I'm not any of those things. He's like, but this is what you're gonna do. And basically, they couldn't pull off the smurfing or the offshore account parts. So they went on shopping sprees with corporate debit cards in order to balance the books a little bit. And since Ruby's small child, what's his name? Harry, they're sending him to like this really fancy school since he's a gifted kid now, and they're like, Oh, but you gotta buy books and you need a computer and you need an iPad, and Stanis money.
SPEAKER_00What are we paying for?
SPEAKER_02So it's like the next day, Ruby walks in after looking like she robbed an Apple store, and they're there, and the guy's like, Oh, you did some damage at the Apple store, right? And he hands her a fig and he gives her like this allegory or whatever. And him, her and Stan are in there, like, what what what what like what the fuck are we gonna do? Like, we are now the fig tree. Yeah, and and they realize like these people are not gonna stop until we are dried out. So Stan calls in a background check, but in the meantime, they're sitting down at dinner, and the couple is like, so after you gave us the car, we got to thinking, and and that's when Ruby is like, So here's the thing everybody has shit luck, and you're not special, like, because they're like, Oh, we don't like to talk about finances, and Stan's okay, so then we won't. But and so, like, after Ruby is kind of like kabosh, the guy whips out an envelope and he's like, Well, here, it's$87, it's all we have, but we wanted to put a payment plan. So now, of course, Ruby and Stan feel like shit. But I have a theory. Are you ready?
SPEAKER_00Give it to me.
SPEAKER_02I think that they could just be nice people who truly want to repay that debt, or they could be fucking masterminds who literally had that envelope ready just for and in case their shit got called out. Because every con starts with a little bit of trust. So how easy is it to have an envelope with some pitiful amount of money and say, hey, no, no, but we we were gonna bring this to you. Because they could have eighty-seven dollars ain't nothing. They could lose that shit. Like, even if they don't have a lot, they could still afford to lose it if the con doesn't play out. Yeah. Yeah. So I don't I don't know if it's part of the con, but anyway, their their whole thing was like, oh no, we're here because we wanted to work out a payment plan because you've been so generous, and we you know, we don't have a lot, but we wanted to pay you. But I think I think like a good con. That's the start with a trust. When the background check comes out, they're like, they are squeaky clean, not even a parking ticket, and the only time they've ever even had an accident is when their daughter was killed, except that it was the day after Sarah got the kidney. So they're just like, Oh, so maybe Sarah got the date wrong. Which it could very well be, or they went in there trolling.
SPEAKER_00Well, Sarah went on a search for them.
SPEAKER_02No, no, I know. But but wasn't it like some uh like chat kind of place possibly right, and so how easy would it be for two even amateur con artists to con a a 15-year-old or whatever however old she is who is going in there with good intentions and trying to find you know, it's like you're gonna you're always gonna find something if you're looking for it. Even if the something is wrong, you found it. So I don't know. I just I'm even more skeptical about them now. But okay, that was it. That was it for them. I don't have a lot of thoughts. I'm thoughtless.
SPEAKER_00You can't be thoughtless because I'm thoughtless. So you are not allowed to be thoughtless. Beth is stalling on the book situation, and Dean is he's a little wary. Like, why are you stalling? What are you trying? Are you trying to hide something? Um, because at this point, she has their house full of you know Hawaiian themed furniture. She goes, Oh, is it a tax write-off? You know, looking to decorate, you know, have a little lounge area in the spa at the store. And he goes, Yeah, but where'd you get the money? And then she's like, I know how tax write-offs work, but where did the money come from initially? Um, so she's stalling him, she's taking stuff out to the garbage, and you know, gay friend is out there. He flashes his light, and he makes instead of the bat signal.
SPEAKER_02It's the best signal.
SPEAKER_00It's the best signal. And he smurfs her. He he's like, I he's smurfing her.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he's like, so I need your routing number. He she's like, Are you smurfing me? He he's he is giddy. Like, if Rio has ever been giddy, he's like, ha ha with a routing number. Like, okay, good cool. What's the routing number?
SPEAKER_00Dave Indeed hit the bars 600 drinks later. You already know what's gonna happen.
SPEAKER_02I I I would have actually been dead the next morning, but not even in my bathroom, in some ravine somewhere with like a bobcat eating my body. Like, I don't Okay. It would be like the hangover, but worse.
SPEAKER_01Okay. A movie I saw. Oh, you saw that one. Did you see two and three? All right, we're we're gonna move on. So that's no, okay.
SPEAKER_00Um, obviously. Dean secures the deal. He he secures the account. Woohoo! No, he doesn't. His daughter the next morning, Beth is woken up by their daughter and said, Dad's dead. And she's like, And you know, considering the life, you're like, Dave really could have been dead. But he's hung the fuck over. He's beyond hung over, and he's so excited about securing the account. He goes, I gave Dave their books, and now because we're part of the Kahuna family, and she's like, fuck me, up the ass with no lube. That was pretty much the look of her face. So what does she what is Beth to do? She goes to dinner with Fitz with Fitzpatrick. Obviously. Right. What else are you gonna do? I mean, that was going to be the answer, regardless, personally, but that's just me.
SPEAKER_02Well, doesn't but doesn't she go to the other guy first? Or was the Well, she goes to Rio's um henchman.
SPEAKER_00He's like, I need the books. He goes, she's like, This goes, I need a favor. He goes, Aren't you done asking me for favors? She goes, This is something we're both um in. Because he's like, You need to settle up first. She's like, No. Not this time. He goes, Well, you see, they have someone got our books. And he just gets up naked. Because she's like, Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02And and she she you see her like kind of side-eyeing, like, oh, not trying not to look. I would have been like, Bring it. You don't care about showing it. I don't care about looking. Then then exact I'm gonna look anyway. But if you're gonna be obvious, so am I. I mean, why should guys be the only one who ogle people? Fuck that.
SPEAKER_00Equal opportunity, bitch. Right. Because I really want like there was a time I was driving, and this guy was running, and I wanted to like hunk my horn and say something like no. I want to cat call him. I really did, because he was fine. He was fine. She's like, just so you understand, I just want the books. Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_02She's like, don't kill him. He's like, no, but it'll just feel like I did.
SPEAKER_00Um, so she's kind of fucked at this point. Fitzpatrick, and they're talking. I don't remember what they were talking about. I just know there was something to do with radishes and wine and butter.
SPEAKER_02He wants her to eat the radish, and she's like, I don't know, I don't like them, it's bitter. So he puts salt and butter, and then she's like, Oh, and also now I need to try radishes like that.
SPEAKER_00Okay, I like radishes.
SPEAKER_02But I like radishes. Me too. Yeah, I like yeah. I gr in the summer I grow them. My my kids, I think the kids like them, and Alex doesn't like them. But like we eat radishes, like pop them in the mouth like candy. Yeah, like I love them too, but I really want to try them that way now. Because I also like salted butter. That should be 700 pounds.
SPEAKER_00That's the only butter I buy. Salted cream. I the part I was really confused about because I was I just was the words were just too hard to understand. And uh she was just like, I don't understand why you just can't do the fucking job. That's not what she was saying. And he was just talking a whole bunch of shit. And I'll just like at that point, I was like, wah, wah, wah, wah, wah. It was like, yeah, brown. I was like, huh? Okay, however. So she's not eating her salmon because it was just undercooked. It was and he goes, Do you ask for it cooked through, right? She's like, Yeah, it's just not to my liking. So he very calmly takes a plate and very calmly walks to the kitchen. And she's that is the scariest thing ever. It's scary and sexy because I was just like, Yes. I I don't I don't need you to bang the guy's head because I'm sure you could have said words that would have scared him as much. But that was a panty dropper for me personally. I'm toxic, I don't know what it is.
SPEAKER_02Um, but it is it's just the command of the situation and the fact that you're calm. And it's not just a man thing. And like if a female does it too, or also you and you and you are I might, you are in trouble. You or or you or you are gonna reap the benefits, but be scared, but it's also okay to be turned on. Because yeah, if I if I know because if I turn around and I'm pissed off, and I turn around and I just calmly, it's like just get the fuck out of my way because all hell is about to break loose, and you don't want to be part of that. But that's how that was the feeling that he was given was I got this, and just I was also walked off, yeah, with her fist.
SPEAKER_00I was for it. Even a little beat up, I was like, oh okay, that's what he had to do. Maybe he gave him lip. But yeah, the whole process of like, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, the the only part that I didn't agree with is that she's still sitting there at the table and he couldn't even shoot her a text. Hey, I'll be out in a minute. Like, you just left her waiting. And and I know that obviously it wasn't like the the chef with his bloody stump of a hand now was gonna be like, Okay, cool, let me do this first. But you know that a little bit of time had passed, so that was the root part.
SPEAKER_00The whole self-confidence of like, I know she's gonna wait. I know, but he just went to the kitchen. She saw him go into the kitchen with the plate. Yeah, of course. I mean, where's he gonna go? It's not that he left her with the bill.
SPEAKER_02I mean, it's not no, no, no. I don't, I didn't think any of that. It was more like the fact that she's kind of just sitting there by herself for all that time. That's the part that I, Lisa, would not have liked if I was sitting there in Beth's shoes. I would have to do that.
SPEAKER_00Well, I probably wouldn't have been waiting there that long to be. I probably would have followed him soon thereafter anyway. So there's that. That's just me. I'm like, oh, I don't know what you're gonna do, but it's but right now my panties are wet. So let's go find out. I would have followed there after anyway. That's just me. While they're at dinner, Phoebe is the you know, agent hot mess is digging through their trash. DL Dave is getting gearing his team up because we got the books, we're ready to finish, you know, we're gonna wrap this puppy up. And she's like, it's not him, it's her. He goes, What's this? He goes, dryer lint. It's full of like starch and linen and all this other stuff. He goes, and she goes, she's washing her money, she's laundering her money literally at home. He goes, but what if what if it's him? She goes, he's then she asks, Do you know how to empty out your lent? He just looked at her like you know what?
SPEAKER_02That's such bullshit, okay? I mean, my husband sure knows how to do that. But obviously, he didn't not do it all the time, but he knows exactly how to do it.
SPEAKER_00So she knows the audience. He did it. The look on his face was was like, yeah, what?
SPEAKER_02That's true. I think I guess I guess he could they could read Dean like a book, you know, like this is a guy who can't make French toast either.
SPEAKER_00So right. I think it was kind of a stretch finding the stuff, like all the stuff in that lint. So all the stuff that they found, yes, it could be from laundry money, but it's not, it's linen, starch, cars that you do things that you you find in a lint catcher to begin with, because you're doing laundry. So I think it was a stretch. Beth and Dean are at home, and the cops are there, and she's just like, I'm sorry, Dean. And she walks to like just to accept her faith, and they're like, Dean Bolin, you're under the arrest. She's like, holy shit, what the fuck? Yeah, and of course, Agent Hot Mess is like, Well, you got the wrong guy, it's not him. Then no one cares what she has to say.
SPEAKER_02Oh, well, DA is dry clean only, or some shit.
SPEAKER_00Like some stupid shit. That was so bad. And that was the end of this episode. I'm going to end this episode with a fun fact. Last week, I started our episode with a fun fact. I'm gonna end this episode with another fun fact. You ready, Lisa? Mm-hmm. She's not ready. No, I'm I'm ready. Lemons and water float, but lime sink. Okay.
SPEAKER_02But okay. Okay. Um, also, we haven't really talked about Annie, and we also really didn't. Yeah, and we didn't really address it last week either. So last week Well, yes, but but there's more. Last week the whole thing was it was Ben's birthday, and Annie was trying to make plans, and Ben was like, No, I don't you know, I don't want to, blah, blah, blah. And Annie comes to the conclusion that it's because he has no friends.
SPEAKER_00Oh, right.
SPEAKER_02So at some point, she Gregg's comes over and they're like, we need to talk about Ben. Greg is like, no, because he threw a rager and like blah blah blah, and come to find out he's on the lacrosse team. And then Annie realizes like the kid's growing up, he's changing, he's into different things, and Annie is feeling left out. And I think that that's where this like destructive behavior starts to come into play. So then in this episode, um Annie is trying to connect, and there's a benefit, and Ben is like, nah, it's stupid, and you would hate it, and it whatever. It's to raise money for rich people and stupid things like lacrosse or whatever. And so Annie is like, Okay, well then I won't go, or but whatever. But Ben, I I forgot how they come to the resolution that Annie is going, but anyway, Annie asks her homeless hit and run friend for to to accompany her, and they show up, and this is all part of the whole debit um card thing because it's a charitable donation. And Annie is like, the bidding is like, oh, do we hear 400? And Annie is like,$1,000. Do we hear$50?$1,000. Um man,$1,000. It's like, I said good day, sir. That was the vibe that she gave. And she is just mouthing at this point, like with her little uh paddle up, like$1,000. And she she's just buying everything. Come to find out, her hit and run homeless friend was a dog walker, kidnapped oatmeal because the little shit bit him. I'm sorry, he didn't kidnap him, he misplaced him. Misplaced him. He and Greg is just kind of like, what the actual fuck is happening here? Because Annie is like, oh yeah, we met at the synagogue, and they're like, You're not Jewish. Yes, I am. Like it's just all kinds of fuckery going on. And it would actually be funny if it really wasn't just kind of sad.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And Greg is like, well, are you in trouble? Is he making you sell drugs? Uh, do you you know this is stuff you have to pay for, right? You're not winning this stuff. Like, and she's like, Why are you worried about my finances? He's like, Well, I'm not covering you, and your finances my finances are not in your business. Right. You don't have finances. Like, you don't have any. So um, it was just it it was all like kind of funny, but kind of not. When she gets home, she introduces Ben to Larry, the new cleaning lad, aka Arumba.
SPEAKER_00I want one so badly.
SPEAKER_02Do you I'm surprised you don't have one, even I have one, yeah. And so then, you know, when Annie is like, oh, and we're going to Bermuda, Bahamas. Come on, pretty mama. I don't know. They're yeah, they're going somewhere, uh, will it be? And she bid like$10,000, and Ben is kind of furious, and she's like, Oh, but I thought you would be happy, and you know, we'll take pictures by the gram. And Ben is like, I would be happy with a car that doesn't have holes in the floor. I would be happy a microwave that doesn't catch fly, right? Yeah, just basic stuff, right? And the the kid is not wrong, no, and you know, Annie is just spiraling even more, and and then she lets in on the fact that she knows about the lacrosse, and Ben is like, well, yeah, because you said it was stupid, and so what I do and no shit, like if if you are not open to your kids' stuff, they're not going to tell you stuff, you know, and so then Well I think they're saying lacrosse was stupid before she knew he was on lacrosse.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, of course, right?
SPEAKER_02So But then but then why would you then say, Oh, and by the way, I know you think this is stupid, but I joined when you already have that in your head.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_02And you know, Ben really like rips her a new one and he's like, you know, you you go in on everything and everyone, and your life is a joke. And I'm just like that was kind of harsh because she is an adult, she is your mother, but it is true, and you know what? That that's just how it is, right? The the people who are the most mean and the most judgmental and and the most hateful are the people who are absolutely miserable in their own lives and really, really should get a therapist.
SPEAKER_00I think he's at the point where he's tired of he's tired of mut of being the adult in their relationship.
SPEAKER_02And as well, he should be, and he's just yeah, but the episode ends, and I guess we'll come to find out what happens with the gang in the next episode or sometime on soap.
SPEAKER_00Okay, there it is. You know I was gonna say something corny.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but I don't have anything else for this episode. Uh that's it. You?
SPEAKER_00I am all worded out because you know, words takes brain cells and brain power that I don't ever have. So there's that.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Uh-huh. This is assassinsips.com. Don't drink and drive, drink responsibly. And I'm Lisa. And I'm Agnes. And we're out of here.
