I don't really have a hot take. It's just more like we're getting to the end towards the end of the season. So it's like the final third of the season. I guess I just expected a little bit more higher stakes and um uh like um cliffhangers. But we still have two more episodes, so there's still hope. No, I yeah, I know, I know. But you have hope. Yeah, and then in the last episode, it was like Dean is like, oh, what do you think about moving to Vegas? And then this episode, not one person mentioned the word Vegas. So it was like, hmm, okay. I don't know. Just I just feel like it was a little bit more all over the place.

Yeah, I mean, obviously there were definitely dead ends. But but I I I really enjoyed the mysteries of it and the and the fact that you took the episode with you after you watched it. Because it's still stuck in your head, like, ooh, but I wonder what's gonna happen with this. And then you can talk to people and you can, you know, and so I know like Good Girls has been out, people have seen the whole show and whatnot. But then coming to a place of um speaking on it afterwards, it's it's not as there's there's just not as much to pull at and to talk about. Yeah, and it's obviously a hard comparison because there's there's not gonna be a the you know, a little bit of a loss.

Next scene, you see the ladies mourning over the fact that they can't find this ugly ass. No, what was that? But ass, hold on, I'm gonna get the name. But as ugly color.

She goes, I don't have to tell him shit. Because we got our money. We got enough. He's not gangbuddy. Back at the Hill House. Stan is he's a little disappointed that we won't keep the ring. She pulls out like their, I think, I don't know, their version of the swear jar, and on top of it is the box with the ring. And the little boy, he misses the parents. He's he's still here. He didn't go upstairs and disappear. And he's like, We're rich. Dan's like, what's that for? He goes, We're gonna, whoever needs it, we'll figure out something. So he sends the kids upstairs, and he goes, So who's this for? Tsunami victims. And he's like, it's just like below deck. There's always one person that has to stay up all night because that's their thing as a couple. They watch below deck. I do love that, yeah. You know, one person stays up all night to watch. She goes, My ship has sailed. Like, one of us needs to be good. One of you needs to be night watch.

I was thinking one-lane ocean, well, like everything's just like they're just all coming. Annie's being tutored by Josh's girlfriend, and of course, she put she's drinking wine, and she's using the opportunity to dig into their relationship. Hold on a second, because I could I know my mic went out because I don't hear anything. So the women um meet Max's cousin at the diner, and you know, in typical good girl fashion, and not to be ableists, but considering the job that they need done, he poses a problem. He he's a double amputee, and not just legs, not just he both of his arms. So it's kind of hard to shoot somebody when you don't have any arms. So, you know, like I said, not an ample, not an ableist. I'm sure there's a lot of other things he can do. And his forte anyway was the bombs. And she's like, Yeah, you were really good at that. Um clearly, he's like, Well, you know, he kind of needs to be close by. He's like, That's not my forte, but I know a guy. Here we go. I know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy. Says every crackhead in the corner in the Bronx. Of course, they can't contact him, he'll find them. Yeah, okay. The whole thumb thing, I was like, that was rude. You're right, like for no reason.

Ding's at work, and the boss has some amazing news to hear the sarcasm in my voice, that they won some kind of award for the region. Woo-hoo! She's like, but don't tell it because it's supposed to be a surprise. Like, just act surprise when they tell us. So Ding goes in there, her office. He goes, That's you know, that's real shitty of you. You want to get some award for all the hard work that we do, and all you do is sign off on the work that we do. And she's like, Well, I put the award in your name, mahogany or chestnut. Walnut, walnut. She's like, and in my head, I'm like, oh, mahogany.

And she goes, and you're really thinking that too, yeah.

Right. And then she of obviously it ages better. So she suggested mahogany also. As I have to say, you know, mahogany does age better.

Yeah, I feel like it's like a pinkish, orangey thing, whatever. Yeah, it's it's like a peachy color, but it's a butt ugly version. So the girls are testing out different, like cop different shades. And Ruby, so Ruby's like, you know, this one has a different hue, this one's too orange. Oh, excuse me. Annie or Beth goes, well, why we just mix the two? Just you know, put it together. She goes, We can't, I just can't throw it together. Like, this is it took months to get the other shade. Beth is like, we'll just and this needs to work enough to trick Rio. Because, you know, we're gonna have this guy just enough to get us by some time. Ruby has this like this rain man moment, and she's like, One part this and two parts of that, and then a dash or this. And I was like, ah, okay. All right, very confident. Rio goes, what's this? Because Beth is at the the diner restaurant with the pile of money on the table. Like, where the fuck are you that you have a pile of money on the table? But I digress. He says, What's this? She goes, That's your money. He goes, It's not for me. Like it's crap, pretty much. So his right hand man comes, he's like, and has like a I call them like those FedEx envelope bags. He gives it to her. She goes, What's this? He goes, open it up. She's like, I don't like taking, I don't like opening things that you give me. She opens it up and it's a gun. She's like, What's this for? He's like, insurance. He goes, the the dude takes the gun, puts it back in the bag.

Right. He goes, Oh, that's the gun I killed your friend with. We're like, yeah, okay. Rio is not stupid. There's a reason why he's a CEO of crime. You didn't get there by being stupid. So he has something else to hold over her head. I mean, not that her life is and her belongings isn't enough. And of course, through all of this episode, Annie is Annieing. She's with Josh. And he she's like, Why are you with her? Like, why are you with her?

Because when he was when she was with her, she's like, Oh, let's talk about what do you guys do for fun. And but like she's she's digging for details.

Digging for gold. And he explains, like, you know, yeah, you have a hundred things that you want, you find someone who gets more than 50, and you that's your person, pretty much. She's like, Well, I don't understand because I just don't live my life crunchy numbers. I don't find the love of my life crunchy numbers. He goes, Well, how's that worked out for you? That pissed her off. Because, you know, I did forget to mention during the diner scene when they were waiting for I can't think for the cousins, Max's cousin. She's like, Oh, they're definitely not having sex. She's like, What makes you say? The girl's like, What you makes what makes you say that? She goes, They've been together for seven years, they have different households. They're like, so she's like, Yeah, she's a light sleeper, he's an open-mouth breather. She's they're like, That doesn't mean you don't want to sleep next to each other.

And then I think she says, like, what she went to school for at the something. And then Ruby's like, Oh, no, Beth says, Oh, yeah, they're definitely not having sex. I was like, Oh.

Well, and then even in the scene with the when she goes back to his the therapy session, he's like, Okay, I think we're done for the day. And she's like, Well, I still have three minutes because she didn't want him to end it early. And she's like, Well, I still have three minutes.

And then he's like, Well, I'll credit your account, right?

Yeah, but then you get the feeling that Annie, Annie is sitting there feeling like like she's the one who's kind of high and mighty. And then that's when he he makes that comment, like, oh, because she's like, Oh, well, you know, relationships shouldn't be about numbers, and then that's when he turns around and is like, and how's that working out for you? And it was like all of a sudden, the the the table flipped, and she was like, I'm out of here.

I was like, ooh, especially since she really just kind of thought that she was like the big, you know, the big shot. And he was like, Yeah, but no.

But she gets him back, well, in an anti kind of way. We'll get more on that later. Beth is sitting in her beautiful, cavernous, empty house on the floor. Why did I touch it? They're like, Why did you touch it? She goes, I'm just so used to him handing me guns. I don't even think about it anymore. I was like, Yeah, that's true. And they're like, Okay, so what are we gonna do? Go back to that place? They're like, we can't because they've seen both our faces. Ruby goes, they haven't seen mine. So in church, the Ruby's church, the pastor's like, you know, everyone has give testimony about the good things we do, all that blah blah blah blah. Sister, no, sister Ruby, whatever, come on up. And she's going to take the un what is the words? The underserved to get to get Manny's and Petties. Right. And I was like, and oh, okay. So Sarah's in the bathroom, and she's giving her directions on how to use a tampon. And at this not at this point, I'm believing the whole exchange because it seems like how the relationship is anyway. 45 degree angle, just push it in there. I you want me to come help you? Get away, mom. I'm like, okay. And I don't remember what she uses as an excuse, but she asks the lady if she had a key.

Yeah, because she keeps saying, like, oh, can I get in? And she's like, no. And then she's like, let me.

Oh, that's she needs a key to get in. She needs a key to get in. Get in, quote unquote. Thank you. Um, so she used the opportunity to steal the butt ugly nail polish. And she feels like shit because she used her daughter as an accomplice. Accomplice. They get back in the car, the daughter's like, so what did you steal? And Ruby's done with her shit. I'm gonna say this, but also I need to just so you know, I understand what the daughter's going through, but also understand what Ruby's going through. Like, and what we've been saying since the beginning of this um teenage angst, Ruby just let it spill. She's like, You don't think kitty is growing trees. She's like, What do you mean? She goes, I had to buy your life. She said, Why didn't you tell me? She was like, I was hoping I didn't ever have to. Right. And I part of me, I feel like I'm kind of glad she did. Because, like, yes, I know all this is so confusing. For a teenage girl, like at one point, you're you're like your life is on a tightrope and you're going through hormones, your mother's a criminal. Like, I get her like confusion and stuff. I get it. On the other side, I probably would have smacked the teeth out of her mouth a long time ago. But like both don't have they're not mutually exclusive. Like they both they both can be right. Dean is with his coworker. He's like, Do you have glasses? You have this. He's like, I have nothing. Like the house is empty. This is this is what I got. They all they both look kind of good in their in their suits and their tuxedos. They're kind of like, oh, I like a dressed up man. They clean up nice.

So they get ready to go to the thing, and he asked, he's like, Oh, do you have your phone? I want you to record, you know, me something my wall. She goes, Oh, let me check the battery. And she looks at her phone, she looks at him. He's like, it's fine, it's it's fine, I'm fine, everything's fine. And it's not fine, obviously. Right. It never is. So you think it's Rio, you know what I mean? Because who else checks her? And it's the cousins, it's Max's cousins guy. Follow you guys following me, yes. So they're at the diner, and it's Andrew McCartney. Yay, hi from Howie Hughes Films. Uh from Howie Hughes films from all those 80s movies. Love the 80s movies. To be fair, if you see one, you've seen them all kind of because they're all kind of much, but they're still good. Brat pack. So he's at the diner, he's like, So what's good here? She goes, the A, the eggs B is good. He goes, Great, that's what we're doing. And he eats one bite of it. She goes, was it not good? He goes, Yeah, it was delicious. But Dolly Pardons, yes, he just eats one thing from everything on her plate, and that's how she keeps her figure. He was like, Okay, okay, that works. Long story short, his services are gonna cost$60,000. And because he's a modern assassin, there's a way, there's a paper plan. I was like, oh, okay, great, cool. And he's looking at his calendar, like, okay, so how are we gonna do this? Is next Tuesday available? He goes, actually, no, I'm gonna be Ohio. Is he gonna be in Ohio? She's like, no, he's local. He's like, okay, what about Friday? So it's it's a refined process to hire a good man. Who knew? Who knew?

Annie is she called Josh over because Ben forgot some homework, and she says, she asks him Greg Greggles, thank you. Annie calls Greggles over because Ben forgot some homework. And she used the opportunity. Obviously, it's a ploy, and she wasn't like, Why me? Why did you pick me? What was it about me? He's like, Your boobs. He's like, Well, yeah, he goes, the way your boobs felt. Like if she's like, No, he's like, Well, like if we were out or doing something, someone did something stupid, and I would laugh, and I would look over at you, and I know you would be laughing too, you know, kind of like that in sync thing. And she tried to make some moves on him.

Well, she was describing her husband. I was like, Is she married to my husband? Because he's got like all those TVs, but they're in the basement, so he could watch all his sporting events. How do you watch movies at the same time?

I don't, I don't know. He has like he has the big TV, then two monitors next to it, and then on the other wall, he has another one. Okay. I I can't do that.

Um, but Dean stops it. He he does something undean-like, and of course, throughout the episode, there is progress, there is evolved like the characters evolve, and I love that for the show. The right like they do change, they evolve, the relationships evolve, some devolve, some evolved. It's life. She goes, I have their daughter's kidney. Ooh, straight to the heart. I was just like, Wow. Wow. Like we hear the stories about organ, like people receiving organs, their life-saving organs. We know someone has died to for someone to receive that organ, but we don't ever, if we don't, we we rarely hear the story behind that, if ever. Right. So I kind of liked them throwing that in there, like this untold stories about how people are receiving their organs. The closing moment, Beth is delivering her money. Rio gives her his her cut. He says, So how are you feeling? She's like, incentivized. Hold on. Incentivized with a little smirk on her face. That would have been as Rio, I would be like, uh-huh, no, something ain't right. And I'm pretty sure he took that in. Well, maybe in my head he did. And that was the end of this episode.
