Hi, and welcome to this special episode of Sassin Sips. Today we are doing a season three recap and a season four look ahead. Or what was it that you called it?

SPEAKER_02So every week we usually dissect and discuss an episode of Lost. And today we're not doing an episode. We're just going to talk about season three in general and look ahead to what we think may be coming in season four. We are your hosts. I'm Lisa. And I'm Agnes. And as usual, we drink while we do this.
SPEAKER_01A lot.
SPEAKER_02What are you drinking today?
SPEAKER_01Okay. So I was at Aldi's. And they were who shops with Aldi's knows that they have like their like their limited time only stuff. So I don't know if you remember when we recorded last time. I had got some raspberry bellini. So I just picked up one to see if I liked it. Loved it. I went back for more, gone. Went to Aldi's to do random shopping. And lo and behold, they had raspberry and peach bellini. So guess what I did? I picked up two of each. So today is going to be the peach bellini. One time.
SPEAKER_02So you're gonna get fucked up. I have I just have some spiked lemonade.
SPEAKER_01You know what? I really I love the fact that you bought a house. I'm so happy for you, but I'm really disappointed. I can't call your special drink a Stein Island iced tea anymore.
SPEAKER_02I just want to be done with that place.
SPEAKER_01That place or that drink or both.
SPEAKER_02Well, maybe a little of both.
SPEAKER_01Have you come? Have you made your new your New Jersey iced tea concaction yet?
SPEAKER_02Oh god, shut up. Um, I tried a signature drink. I made a lavender lemonade. Oh, oh yes, and my wonderful friend Brittany helped me come up with it. Hi, Brittany! And unfortunately, she hasn't even been here to taste it yet. So, you know, hello, bitch, come over.
SPEAKER_01Listen, part of coming up with the concoction that you have to be there to drink some of it. I know, I know. Responsibilities be damned.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, she only lives like 10 minutes away. So, like, what's her excuse?
SPEAKER_01I felt like when you live to Staten Island, you guys saw each other more.
SPEAKER_02But um, yeah, so it was it's pretty good. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it, and um, I have another one that I'm trying to work on, and um, it's in the lemonade genre, so yeah, we'll see. We'll see when I figure it out. I had I had it as a drink at a restaurant, and it was so good. So I gotta figure out how to make it myself.
SPEAKER_01What is it?
SPEAKER_02It was lemonade, but it had it was made with gin. And it wasn't it wasn't a lemonade, it but it yeah, it tasted like lemonade, and so it's it's like the perfect sneak up on you, put you on your ass, refreshing summer drink. Like lemon drop shots.
SPEAKER_01You're like, oh, check in the lemon drops, oh, it's good. Oh, wait, my face just met the ground. Awesome. Yes, try making lemon drop shots with Patron Silver. Five stars. I highly recommend it.

SPEAKER_02Okay. At some point previously, you said that the hurly bird will be back in season three, episode three, which was further instructions. I did, yeah, you did. Okay, I believe you wrote that down when you said it.
SPEAKER_01I believe you.
SPEAKER_02And it wasn't.
SPEAKER_01So do I have to take a shot or something? Uh yeah, do it. Okay, yay! And every time I write about addiction, you take a shot.
SPEAKER_02Okay, new game. New game.
SPEAKER_01I don't get totally wasted while listening to a podcast. Oh, don't do this while driving, people.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah, yeah. Just pull over and pull the cab.
SPEAKER_01Have your kids drive home. Every kid.

SPEAKER_01Okay, listen. To be fair, my kid's 21. So you know, she's of age. That's where my mind was at. Disclaimer, cover my ass.

SPEAKER_01Oh, I don't know. Or maybe don't have alcohol in the call with you. I don't know if I get driven.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah, that's probably where we should have gone.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I mean, they could take a sip of like their soda or their water that they're drinking, or the iced coffee.
SPEAKER_02Yes, we won't know.
SPEAKER_01So, worst case scenario, you end up peeing on yourself. Big deal. Maybe like you're drunk anyway. No comment. Okay, the next the next prediction that was made.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Saeed thought that Naomi was lying. He basically accused her of lying, you know, like when he was questioning her.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_02So I want to just hear your thoughts on Naomi. You know what?
SPEAKER_01I really didn't give much thought to her. I think they didn't give her a chance to give much thought to her because she was she was killed her second episode on there. Well, and but she seemed straightforward. That ain't like questioned much. But at the same time, if she was lying, I wouldn't have been surprised either.
SPEAKER_02I was kind of like, Well, we know that she lied about something because it wasn't her vote, it wasn't his vote.
SPEAKER_01Right. But so we never like, but like but before we found that part out, because I'm like, she could it could be either way. I was like, I wouldn't be surprised. I think if she was telling the truth, I think I would have been more surprised. This is lost. Uh oh shit, look, they were being straightforward, right? Pretty much. She was like, Oh, dude, I guess some kind of they're not always a fuck boy, you know. But I was kind of I I kind of like the character. I like her as an actor, I like Marsha Thomason. And I was kind of hoping that she'd make more than just a two-episode appearance. Well, this is lost, so you never know who's gonna be. She's come and come back in the parallel universe. That's right, because they live in a different time parallel universe. Because honestly, I like all joking aside, I feel like if she's to be believed that she that they did find their bodies and the alt survivors, I think it's kind of round not to see, you know. And obviously they're there, and you keep like hitting your head against the wall when I say purgatory, why can't it be like an alternate universe, a parallel universe?
SPEAKER_02I'm not saying it can't. It's just like well, like what would be the what would be the logic? Like, why would if if they're in purgatory, right? Because or they're in like some kind of alternate universe and their bodies are at the bottom of the ocean or something, which we've heard from two separate sources. So I mean it makes you wonder, like, but where are they getting that shit from? But then why would they need somebody to come and rescue them? Like, isn't that kind of the point of purgatory?
SPEAKER_01If I found well, okay, if it's purgatory, I kind of moved off of that because if they're purgatory, they're already dead. So it really doesn't make a difference. So whatever happens is just part of purgatory, like it's nothing, it's not real. If it is a kind of parallel universe, it may be as some kind of scientific thing, like scientists must be looking for this, like they know it exists. Gotcha. I think because because parallel universe, because it's, I don't know. Maybe maybe you think it's just magic or bullshit. I don't know enough about astrophysics and all that other stuff, but the possibility is there for what I can gather. I'm not a scientist, so I couldn't say, Oh, that's bullshit or not. But it's at least to the realm of possibility that they are aware of something happening, or smart like some scientists are aware of something happening, where every time you I don't know, you hit a different universe or whatever, something goes up.
SPEAKER_02It's obviously that that's the worst theory I've ever heard.
SPEAKER_01It seems plausible, but maybe it's too plausible. Maybe it's too plausible for loss. That's why that's why I wouldn't. That might be the problem. That is where I've gone wrong. Damn. Um, but yeah, I don't, I think, I think that's the only thing. Parallel universe, and that's why they came to look for him. Not necessarily the survivors per se. Because she came Desmond, because she came to look for Desmond, not really the survivors, because she was surprised that they were there. That's true. But then if who's who's looking for Desmond, if not Penny, but I think she's looking for somebody. I don't know. It's weird because remember at the end of season two, was it two? When they had the whole thing exploded, right? And her science is like we saw something. So it makes you think that she's involved somehow looking for something, and it may not be Desmond per se, it may be I I don't fucking know. I really don't. I I don't know. Okay, I don't I'm confused myself now. That fucking rabbit hole, I tell you, it's a trip.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it it's good. Okay. During the episode one of us, you said that Ben was the man behind the curtain. His episode with his backstory was even titled as such. Do you think that he is after seeing the rest of season three? Do you still feel that way, or do you feel that that's just another when did I say it was my hand behind the curtain? What during one of us, which was um maybe like two or three episodes before the man behind the curtain episode? One of us was the one where Juliet and like Juliet meet um ends up at their camp and Jack is all like, Oh, I'll protect you because I am man. I kind of think it's both he is and he isn't.
SPEAKER_01He is because he is a little wizard like pulling the strings, but he really isn't because we all because Richard Hello is at least 40, at least 60 something years old, looking as fine as ever. To be fair, I didn't know his real name. So I'm like, who you're in love with who? I don't know who that is. I'm like, I don't know who that is. I don't know real name. I said I didn't know his real name, but I know I know his face. I'm like, oh, he is fine as fuck. Okay, so Nestor Nestor. I think the name Nestor kind of throws me off. He doesn't look like a Nestor.
SPEAKER_02There was a kid in junior high school with us named Nestor, and he was he he was just like one of those kids that like he was crazy. He was like like he kind of had crackhead parents and he looked dirty all the time, and he always got the name vaguely.
SPEAKER_01Nestor Kaba, he needs to change his name.
SPEAKER_02Juan, I don't know, something um that might not that might not be okay.
SPEAKER_01Sexy motherfucker. There you go.
SPEAKER_02There you go. That's Prince's name.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. Only do things with high heels and eyeliner and get your bitch and still take your woman and what and every other bitch up in the in the club. Um, back to where we were. Yes, I think um, I don't know. I think it's a I think there's a yes, he is, and no, he isn't at the same time. I because it's it's very complicated. It's yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay, well, maybe we'll take a sip. I'll take a sip. During season three, there were a few gunslinger slash dark tower connections, which is um a series, dark tower series by Stephen King. And obviously, Stephen King's name has come up a few times over the course also of the show.
SPEAKER_01I feel like I wasn't paying attention.
SPEAKER_02That's okay. So The Gunslinger is the first book of the series. There's um uh I think there's like five or six books, I can't remember. It focuses in on the gunslinger. His name is Roland, and he's on his quest to find the dark tower. During the course of his quest, he meets random people, he goes back in time, he goes through like strange lands, all to finally get to the dark tower. And spoiler alert, if you've never read the series or you don't want to hear the spoiler, you might want to skip ahead because I'm about to ruin it for you. Um, I'm actually trying to get my daughter to finally start reading it. It's it's a good series. Um, yeah, so he finally gets to the dark tower and the whole thing just starts again. And it's just like this crazy loop that he's stuck in, like all this shit that he's gone through, talking trains and time travel and people with no limbs, and and just crazy, crazy, crazy shit over the course of like all these books to get there, and then he has to just do it again.
SPEAKER_01It's like hell. Yeah, watch Lucifer.
SPEAKER_02I haven't watched the last few episodes yet.
SPEAKER_01I mean, but you get the gist of the premise of hell, right? By the way, holy mother of balls. Okay, thank you. Holy mother, like girl, like after we after this, shut your kids down and we'll finish the season out.
SPEAKER_02Well, I started watching Mayor, Mayor of East Town. Okay, um, I heard it was really good, and Alex has been pressuring me to watch it. So I only watched the first episode so far, but you need to finish Lucifer.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I will like like it's that good.
SPEAKER_02I was like, All right, well, after I'm finished, it's only like seven episodes this show. So after I'm done with that, then I will I will get on top of Lucifer if you if you insist and have me like oh back like they brought it this season, they brought it is this the final season next year, next year.
SPEAKER_01Next season is the final season, and I could see how it's set up to be the final season.
SPEAKER_02Okay, we'll do. I will get on that.
SPEAKER_01Good times. Okay, so the connection between dark tower and lost, which which basically just what is the damn word?
SPEAKER_02Like pushes your purgatory theory. Oh, okay, okay. So is it is it that you could be right, or is this like just another fuck boy, you know? Oh you leaving me?
SPEAKER_01Sorry, my bad.
SPEAKER_02A con that loss is giving us. I say yes.
SPEAKER_01Like literally, like it's it's yes.
SPEAKER_02It's like, oh look, look, look, we're gonna give you all the clues, we're gonna make you think. Oh, look, but you see, it has to be right, it has to be right, and then they might just be pulling the rug out from under you next season.
SPEAKER_01Fuck with you because that's what they do. Evil.
SPEAKER_02Let's talk about Sawyer and Anthony Cooper. He finally got to deliver his letter, he got his closure on Anthony Cooper. This has been his whole life, you know, since he was a kid. Now what?
SPEAKER_01I was shocked that I I was shocked that I was shocked. That makes sense because I wasn't expecting it. I'm like, damn it, I should have been expecting that. Like, I'm I was a little mad at myself that I didn't that it wasn't that it was a shock. I'm like, why am I shocked? Yeah, plot twist. That's what I said. The last couple episodes of this. You've been usually pretty good picking up on the little nuances and bullshit. I don't know. I missed that one. Good job, lost. I'm proud of you.
SPEAKER_02But what do you think is in in store for Sawyer now? Like that's been his life's mission. Do you think that he'll change as a person now that he's no?
SPEAKER_01I find if you go through like all the TV shows and books, when people take that they saw their life ministry, they reach their goal, they usually spiral down. And I think any inter person interpersonal relationship he has is gonna go into the shitter or be really difficult to maintain, and um it's gonna be a shit show. That's I think. Yeah, just based on any other like typical paradigm you see on TV, like that character that which is their goal, it doesn't, it leaves them empty and they end uh being self-destructive.
SPEAKER_02In the final episode, it was revealed that Jack and Kate got off the island. So there was some kind of rescue. We don't know how or who, but if you had to guess, if anyone else, who made it off the island?
SPEAKER_01Well, I don't think Locke did. I honestly think he wanted to stay. This reminds me that I say Locke, I remember about a year ago, give or take a month. Terry O'Quin Beach is like actually was interested in our podcast for like a half second. So hi Terry. Okay, um who else? Uh you know, I I I really couldn't even fathom. I I don't know. I I think um what's her name? The baby, the lady Claire and the baby. I'm sure I have a feeling they definitely left. Um I wouldn't be surprised if I know uh and then son and Jen, because she stays in the island, she can show dies. I feel that she definitely got on that helicopter or whatever, boat, whatever. Um who else is there? I don't know. I don't see anyone who actually stayed other than Locke. Interesting. But once again, if half the people stayed, I wouldn't be surprised. Oh Rose and Bernard. I can see them staying. Yeah, she doesn't want to leave. Her cancer, right? So I can see them staying. Who else is there?
SPEAKER_02I mean, Sawyer, Juliet, Juliet.
SPEAKER_01I like all those people, I don't see them wanting to stay. Just lock in, but not in zero and Ben.
SPEAKER_02Ben I don't think I don't think Ben wants to leave.
SPEAKER_01Benry, Benry stayed. Benry. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I am going to propose to you. Oh, yes. My answer is yes. Oh, okay. Yes. No, a new theory. Okay. Um, so something that I've been thinking about, but I didn't want to say it during the episode because you didn't have enough information yet. During the episode Stranger in a Strange Land. Okay. It's revealed that Jack's tattoo says, um, like he he walks among us, but he's not one of us.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02And so we take that to refer to him in Thailand and him with the others. Is it possible that that can refer to Juliet? Knowing now what we know that we didn't know then about how, you know, she's always been kind of flip-floppy, right? Kill Ben, I'll cover for you.
SPEAKER_01And she brings him sandwiches, and then she lied to Kate, but then she saves Claire, but then she was like, the tattoo was more of a premonition about someone coming into his life.
SPEAKER_02I don't know if you could call it a premonition, but could it have been that the Theme, Stranger in a Strange Land, right? Refers to Juliet. Like she's not one of them.
SPEAKER_01But why would they be tattooed on him?
SPEAKER_02Unless they were no, no, no, that it can be referred to him. But just in general, that the theme could also refer to her, not just him.
SPEAKER_01Oh, the theme of the like the episode. Oh, absolutely. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think you might like, but why would they tattoo it on him? No, no, no, no, no. I get it. Yeah, yeah. I get it. Abso fucking lutely.
SPEAKER_02See, like if I think it's like yeah, if I had said that to you then, I don't think I'm like, what the fuck it would have had the right.
SPEAKER_01It was kind of like uh some foreshadowing, like a whole half a season ahead. Um absolutely.
SPEAKER_02And I mean, I guess maybe you could even apply that to Ben because we know that he is like the leader of the hostiles, but he wasn't.
SPEAKER_01He was part of the Dharma initiative, and he's and I think even now he's just a figurehead. He's just he's I think they I think they have it's just weird. I don't understand the purpose of having him pretend to run shit when it's quite obvious that Richard has been a hostile for lack of a better term, 60 seconds, like a billion years or whatever. Right, for as long as as we've seen, right? And then obviously the other hostiles know Richard has been, you know what I mean? I feel like it's like, what do they do? Why are they allowing Ben to be the face and following behind him? Like then nothing makes sense, right? I feel like it's a it's a conspiracy, a huge conspiracy against Ben. I think they're all using him for something, something like that because it's obvious that Richard can go back and forth. He got Juliet, so I feel like they're using Ben for a bigger purpose, but he's their puppet and he doesn't even know it. Interesting, very fucking interesting, I tell you.
SPEAKER_02I had done a survey on Instagram about new season three other characters, and you know, to find out who was the favorite, right? So I didn't I did include Ben because I mean season two we did meet Ben, but like we really didn't. I mean it's a right, yeah, yeah. Uh so as of between Juliet, Richard, Mikhail, Naomi, Penny, Nikki, and Paolo. Oh, and Ben. Who would you say your favorite other is?
SPEAKER_01Other person.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I like Naomi.
SPEAKER_01She was my favorite.
SPEAKER_02The internet said with a whopping like 64%. They said Juliet. So let me guess, Juliet.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. 64%. And I hated her. Like, I hate her her kind of like I know something you don't know, and I'm just doing you a favor.
SPEAKER_03Hmm.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, okay, bitch. Um, I just she just irks me. To be fair, the air the character irks me, but I'm enamored with the actress. Like, I told like she's fucking amazing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. So it actually came down between Ben and Juliet, but then Juliet won out.
SPEAKER_01They do make it interesting, like they make good TV. I like them both in that sense. Like they're they're excellently casted and and portrayed, everything they do is both good. So, in that sense, I can see how, but I would never want to have a drink with Juliet.
SPEAKER_02Fair enough. If you had to give season three a theme, you already know.
SPEAKER_01Fuck fourth century, like loss. All right, losses, all right.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, like season like season one was them just kind of surviving and like season one hope for rescue. Season two was about the hatch, whatever. Like, so what would you say season three was? You don't know.
SPEAKER_01I couldn't even because there's just so many different things, and nothing made sense, and it confused meaning and like why. Um I don't know. I can't, I don't know. Maybe because I stopped watching it as a series and I just watched it as an individual show because so I can get through it. I don't think I I'm finding it difficult to find a comment thread.
SPEAKER_02Um I think season two.
SPEAKER_01I think like the why. I think it was no, I think the theme is is more like the details as to why, what the actual fuck is really going on. Why? Why we have why is Desmond have these premonitions? Why doesn't Ben want them to leave the island? Why, why, why the fuck, why? Why are they building a runway? Like, what the fuck? Like um, for me, it'll be like that's I think it's trying to get to the meat of the drama, not it's just not the stranded people fighting over the island. That makes no sense. No, really that's it.
SPEAKER_02No, it's completely accurate. I was just gonna say, like the others because we got more of a look into who they are and how they live, and how they came to be.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was a lot of the others, yeah. But I mean, it's no right answer. No, because laws wrote intentionally to fuck with our heads. I hope the rides got paid handsomely for this show. I would think they they did. So as we're losing, as we're pulling our hair out, they're sitting reclining with their street, smoking their cigar, drinking the cavassier, like ha ha ha.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's on the Christmas card. In the finale, Ben said, if Jack makes the call, it will be the beginning of the end. That's also the title of the season four, episode one episode. Oh, but what do you think that he means?
SPEAKER_01If you if you had to guess, like if he said that to you. I mean, at that moment, if you said to me, I'm like, what the fuck are you smoking? It makes no sense. Um think about like inside, like you know, you can't see the forest with the trees. Like if you're inside, you're like, what the fuck are you talking about?
SPEAKER_02Like, oh my god, I was listening to a podcast today and that was the title of it. But yeah, go ahead. Oh, how funny.
SPEAKER_01I um the beginning of the end, like but watching it, I don't know. I just no good could come of this. Like, I feel like wait too in the purgatory and they're going to hell now. Like, I feel like I don't know. Yep, definitely. But I definitely think they're I think they're going back. They're going back to the island. Uh I don't know what's this. I don't know how to take that. Like, but but will it be them actually going back to the island, or would it be some kind of flash forward, flashback thing going on? I don't know.
SPEAKER_02The season three finale kind of threw us for a loop by doing a flash forward.
SPEAKER_01Maybe exciting.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, it was great. It was like the twist nobody saw coming. Right. But do you think that going into season four, they're gonna keep doing that? Like, are we gonna be looking forward to more flash forwards, or do you think they're gonna go back to the original recipe?
SPEAKER_01I think I don't know how they're gonna do it, but I think flash forwards is gonna be more they're gonna do a complete 180. And I think them back home is gonna be present, and them back on the island is gonna be flash forwards if that makes any kind of sense, but it's lost, so it doesn't have to make sense in a weird kind of way. Okay, I don't think I'm drunk enough to make sense.
SPEAKER_02No, not yet. During season three, we met a bunch of others. Anyone stand out? I mean, aside from Mikhail, who can't seem to die.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I was gonna say that Mikhail, that's it. And then the the stewardess that was kidnapped, and now she's won them and she's been drinking the Kool-Aid. I'm like, how dude, and for the all-the-purposes, the time frame wasn't that long. A couple of months, so right. So I'm like completely indoctrinated, so completely in it. And it reminds me of something my daughter has said to me because she saw some kind of was it on TikTok or some kind of it was a joke post, obviously, because I like TikTok now. I'm like, how long you've gone down the rabbit hole. I have. Um, they're like, how long would it take for you to when you get kidnapped and you're what is it called? And you identify with the kidnappers. Oh my god, the fuck is wrong with me? Stockholm syndrome, Stockholm Syndrome, thank you. She's like, and the joke was they're like, How long would it take for you to be to succumb to Stockholm syndrome? And someone goes, two, three hours, and if they're mean to me, 15 minutes tops. The whole thing was funny. I'm like, okay, yeah, I can see it. Yep, yep. If someone says free tacos, that's how they're gonna kidnap me. Seriously, except for that except for that bar crawl in Chicago, unlimited tacos, they gave you two.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I've been watching um Chicago Fire and Chicago PD, and all I keep thinking about is like oh memories, Ginny's ice cream.
SPEAKER_01I haven't gone back since. I feel like I'll be cheating.
SPEAKER_02As for season three, I asked our listeners if they had a favorite episode.

SPEAKER_01I feel like that was your favorite one, also. Um at least you felt some kind of like you felt it saw a lot of connections between that and your favorite book. So I think it hit a core with you.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and I have to say though, I think the brig might was was even higher, which is when Sawyer meets Anthony Cooper.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I think for me that was even higher because that was like holy shit.
SPEAKER_01I have to say the the season finale was probably my favorite. It took the whole season, it took three seasons for me to find a favorite episode.
SPEAKER_02All right, well, three full seasons.
SPEAKER_01That's not saying much.
SPEAKER_02Aside from like me asking you what your favorite episode is, right? If you had one, but do you have anything that you can say is like your favorite, whether it's like an episode, a scene, a character, a twist, a revelation, anything? Just anything that stood out for you. Oh wow, for me, it would be that it would be so much.
SPEAKER_01Like, honestly, there are a lot of different parts that I was like, okay, so the last scene was the finale when you realize the flashball, like, oh shit, definitely Anthony Cooper. And that was that's obvious. I was a part that I remember quite vividly was I can't remember the dude. I'm like Sawyer with these two people's names, Nikki and Paolo. Like they were buried fucking alive. Holy mother of balls. Like that was good.
SPEAKER_00I was like, oh shit.
SPEAKER_01That was a fun episode. It was, it was like it was this season, even though you're like you're walking kidnapped and fucking monsters eating people and all this shit. Season three was still dark and twisty. It was on a totally different level that wasn't really. It's like it was a subtle, dark and twisty, it was like a complete mindfuck.
SPEAKER_02There were a lot of shitty episodes, like episodes that you really you could have lived without.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely.
SPEAKER_02Nine, but then the good episodes were good episodes, yeah.
SPEAKER_01It was it was really like a psychological dark and twisty mindfuck. It was very afraid in certain some ways.
SPEAKER_02It was that's yeah. We watched the missing pieces, and Michael was in a bunch of them. What do you think him and Walt are up to right now? Like whatever happened to them.
SPEAKER_01Um the I um Walt, um, you know, he has some pigeon issues with in New York. Uh he's causing a lot of pigeons shooting people's cars right now as we speak. Um wow, I never even thought about it, but I um we talked about uh missing pieces uh episode, and I'm like, why is Mike in all these clips? And I feel like it's something. Do you think it could have just been um it was kind of like a homage, like we got rid of you too soon, and here's some more information?
SPEAKER_02No, because it's well, no, that's not what I was gonna say. Um like as they were filming, and those are scenes that ended up on the cutting room floor, yeah. And so they were like, Yeah, fuck it, let's just use them.
SPEAKER_01Maybe, but nothing by losses that is that I think loss is a lot going on that they want to mess with us. Um, because there's so many, I'm sure Shannon and Boone had deleted scenes. I'm sure um um and then Lucia had deleted scenes. I'm sure a lot of them had deleted scenes. That's just the nature of the beast, right? And why Michael and Walt. So technically Michael, not so much Walt, but I get that's another thing. Well, I get I know why they didn't do like if it was deleted scenes, if it was deleted scenes, there would be there would be at least another scene with Walt as a child. Couldn't remember puberty. The reason he left the show because he had puberty overnight and it wasn't fitting, right? So I don't know. I just think it I think it was more than just deleted scenes. Okay, I hate you do that because I don't know about I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing if I was way off ball or if I was right on. I don't know what that means, and I love it. I love if you fucking my head like that.
SPEAKER_02I'm glad.

SPEAKER_02Flash forwards, we have to go back.
SPEAKER_01What the fuck? I really think the the I think the flash forwards is gonna, I think like I think they're gonna go back to the island, that's gonna be present, and then the flash forward is gonna be oh, vice versa. I said it earlier, okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I confused myself already.
SPEAKER_02So off island is present and the island is the is the back is the flashback?
SPEAKER_01Flash forward. I think they're gonna do flash forwards. So off the island is forward. No, no, no. Them back home off the island is present, them on the them going back to the island is gonna be flash forward. Okay, because they're not gonna do flashbacks anymore, they're gonna do flash forwards. Okay, did I just confuse myself even more?
SPEAKER_02Yes, yes, I did. I I'm trying to understand what you're saying, and I think I do so, but I guess there's only one way to find out, right?
SPEAKER_01Kate and Jack at the airport, we gotta go back. That's present, right? Them going back is flash them going back to the island when they show the island, that's back. That's gonna be forward. Them go, it'll be them in the future going back to the island. Oh, okay. But they go, they actually go back to the island, so that'd be their flash forward. Island part two. That's what we do. We're just say that because the back and the fourth is what's confusing. Island part two would be the flash forward. All right, and I wanna know who died.
SPEAKER_02I feel like uh so yeah, we don't know who died, we don't know who's in the coffin.
SPEAKER_01We know it's neither friend nor family, and I feel like but someone on the island because, like, why would he expect Kate to be there?
SPEAKER_02I feel like it was something, so right, somebody that they both know, and the only people that they both know are people that they met on the island.

SPEAKER_01I have no idea, Michael. I don't know. I don't know, it's not a bad guess. No, it's not because it's not a bad guess. And now they said that no family or friends showed up, doesn't mean they didn't have any. Maybe it's Walt.
SPEAKER_02But then why wouldn't Michael be there? Well, and if it's Michael, why wouldn't Walt be there?
SPEAKER_01Maybe that's why they had to go back to the island. Maybe they maybe one of them, maybe it's one of them, and the one and other one went back to the island. That's why they didn't show up.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I don't all right. I don't know, and also Kate refers to him.
SPEAKER_01He's waiting for me. I feel like it was just Sawyer. I don't know. Okay, so another thing bothers me. I don't know if I said it or if I thought it. I don't know if I said I might have said it. Why isn't she not in jail? Because technically speaking, she's still a wanted criminal, right?
SPEAKER_02Why isn't she in jail? So how did she get a get get away from that?
SPEAKER_01And I think I think that I think that's why I said there's a parallel universe where Wanted Kate. Okay, so wanted Kate died in the plane crash. Like all these people actually died in the plane crash, so when they go back home, it's not their home, it's a different, it's a say it's parallel universe at the same time frame. Do you watch manifest? I absolutely do.
SPEAKER_02So it does because I'm getting like manifest vibes off of your theory, but I'm a couple episodes behind, but don't say anything.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, no, I'm not, but there's also a lot of things happening. Like there's another show, I feel like there's other shows in the past, like I don't know, my TV viewing history that touches on parallel universes. And there was something I was reading about, like the Mandela effect and different things, how when we thought time was going to end in 2012, it did, but not how we thought, like somehow the universes collided. Okay, and that's how so it's but parallel universes is something that scientists have been studying for it's nothing new, so I can definitely see how and manifest kinds of bring religion into it a little bit. Yeah, well, a lot of it, but then again, what is lost? True, but my thing is purely my theory is purely scientific. Gotcha. Yeah, um, so that's why yeah, I did say the season finale episode. So I think them going back, I think them going back home has completely fucked up everything because it's not their time, it's not their universe.
SPEAKER_02Okay, and I think there's definitely something that's bothering them that they have to go back.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, right. So I think that's oh, I'm glad I'm glad I remembered that. So in this parallel universe, it could be Mike or Walt day, it could be it could be any of them day because anything could have happened. Because Mike and Walt probably didn't go back when they let them go. Right. We don't know what happened to them. We don't know what happened to them. Yeah, we don't know where they ended up. I'm so excited about this because like on a on a scientific, on a like totally geeking out, that I'm excited to find out like how much is it just science and how much of it is science fiction, you know what I mean? So I'm totally geeking out and looking forward to season four.
SPEAKER_02In the past, when we've done these look forward episodes, it's just been like pure speculation off of what we've seen, you know, uh in the previous seasons. But this time we watched the trailer for season four. And so, I mean, obviously, I know what's gonna happen, but you got to watch a trailer kind of like a sneak preview. So any thoughts on what you saw or what you're most looking forward to in season four.
SPEAKER_01Um, or you just you know I completely forgot what I saw. I was like, oh my god, like I completely forgot what I saw. I'm so sorry. Like, and since I've seen that, I've had some tests done, I've been on anesthesia, I've had like so I could yeah, correct. Oh, this is gonna be good. All right, so get it.
SPEAKER_02All right, so let's let's do let's one last question and then we'll end this. And and then you know, we'll just jump into season four in a week or two. As of now, with all that you've seen and you know, thinking forward or what's going on and blah blah blah. If you could only get an answer to one question, what would that question be? Like right now, if if you could just answer one question, what would it be?

SPEAKER_02I'll tell you this much. I'm not gonna answer that question, but you will get an answer to that question.

Definitely, and because I'm a gluten for punishment, I'm going back to him for season four to see if he gets any better.

That's in that favor, but I feel like it's like if they if at least if it's anything like the season finale left me, I'm like, I'm looking forward to it. Okay, the side the geek in me is like I'm kind of hyped up on that whole you know parallel universe. And the whole uh what's the thing? That dead purgatory thing. I was kind of like half joking, half serious. But towards like by season three, I was just doing this to fuck with you.

SPEAKER_01It's a parallel universe, boom, and on that note, well, but what if it is? Oh it's not. I don't know. Have you have you gone to the other side yet and come back? Not talking about the show, but what if death is actually a parallel universe? Like if you believe in reincarnation, right? Why couldn't it be? It's kind of like science meets religion, and I don't mean to disrespect any religious people, it's just I believe in both.
SPEAKER_02So I've I've never been there, so I can't say but it's kind of a new theory, it's kind of it's something to think about.
